MICHELLE WATSON

MICHELLE WATSON

Clinic Director & Sports Massage

iFix Health’s founder Michelle had a vison to offer locals an accessible place for complete health and wellbeing, which is why she has established this allied health hub to help the community. For Michelle, it is important to help and support people regardless of their age, background, occupation, or the sport they enjoy.

As a massage therapist with more than a decade of professional experience both in New Zealand and overseas, she assists people in moving better and reducing pain. She has a Diploma in Remedial and Sports massage and has worked alongside national and international sports teams for more than a decade.

She specialises in deep tissue massage and dry needling, and she loves the outcome of massage and how it helps in so many ways. When not massaging or running the business, Michelle appreciates her downtime. She values time with family and friends and loves entertaining.

Laura grew up in Cyprus and studied in England, where she gained a degree in Sports Science and a Masters in Strength and Conditioning Coaching. She qualified as a Massage Therapist in New Zealand in 2018. As she loves sports and was previously a Strength and Conditioning coach and swim instructor, she has a keen interest in injury prevention and recovery.

Although Laura enjoys working alongside athletes, assisting both teams and individuals, it’s not just sports massage she does well. Her therapeutic and relaxation massage techniques are just as amazing. She loves the beach, and summer weather, and is currently focussed on her further mastering her already impressive massage skills, all while developing her Rugby coaching credentials.

LOUIE RICHTER

LOUIE RICHTER

Psychology

Louie’s career in mental health started in South Africa in 2013 when he first registered as a counsellor. He attended further clinical psychology training while he practiced on the side as a counsellor, and he became fully registered as a clinical psychologist in 2017. Louie’s employment history in mental health covers a very broad spectrum, including private practice, and in-and-outpatient mental health services for children, adolescents, and adults.

Professionally, he also worked with the intellectually disabled population, and in the area of neuropsychology within the rehabilitation context of the spinal cord, traumatic brain, and cerebrovascular injuries. Addictions, trauma, mood, anxiety, personality, adjustment, psychotic, and neuro-developmental (e.g., ADHD and autism spectrum) conditions were his main areas of focus over the years.

Generally, psychological therapy is what Louie enjoys the most about his career. Personally, he is a foodie (absolutely loves cooking and baking!), crazy about movies, crazy about warm sandy beaches, and is very invested in his close family relationships and friendships.
